Acid AEO
AI readiness, citations & rich data for WordPress.
Search is turning into answering. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews read your site, summarise it and decide whether to cite you. Acid AEO gives them everything they need — and gives you the controls. One wizard, one source of truth, files that cannot drift apart.

Everything an answer engine needs, generated from one source of truth //
Your crawler policy, your AI files and your structured data come from the same settings, so they can never contradict each other.
llms.txt— a curated map of your site for language models, plusllms-full.txtwith the full text as Markdown.humans.txt— the people behind the site, with roles and profiles.ai.txt— machine-readable usage terms for AI crawlers.ai-context.json— a compact JSON brief: who you are, what you offer, how to cite you..well-known/security.txt— the RFC 9116 security contact.
- Presets from Citable to Closed, or per-bot control over every known AI crawler.
- Emitted consistently to
robots.txt,ai.txt, theContent-Signalheader and the policy section ofllms.txt. - Optional content licence and a permissions contact, so publishers know where to ask.
- A single
@graph: Organization, WebSite, WebPage, BreadcrumbList, Article, Person, FAQPage, Speakable and image metadata. - Detects Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, AIOSEO, The SEO Framework and Slim SEO — and steps aside for the pieces they already emit, so nothing is described twice.
- Content tools: TL;DR, FAQ and key-takeaway blocks, a per-post AI summary, Markdown served to agents on request.
- IndexNow: a key, the key endpoint and automatic submission when you publish (Bing, Yandex, Seznam).
- AI citation tracking: which AI crawlers fetched what, and which answer engines sent visitors — no cookies, no personal data, automatic retention.
- A readiness audit with a 0–100 score and one-click fixes, plus a REST API and WP-CLI for pipelines.
Seven short steps, about three minutes //

The files are published, the site is measured and the readiness score is shown, with the fixes worth making.
A score from 0 to 100, and what to fix first //
The audit fetches every file the plugin publishes the way a crawler would, checks the JSON-LD on the home page and the newest post, looks for files on disk that shadow the generated ones, and verifies robots.txt, the Content-Signal header, the Link header, HTTPS and IndexNow.
- Pass / Warning / Fail per check, with a plain-language reason and a one-click fix where one exists.
- Re-run from the dashboard, from WP-CLI, or gate a deployment on it:
wp acid-aeo auditexits with status 1 below 50. - Honest by design: it reports what is served, not what is configured. A physical
llms.txtin the webroot is flagged, never silently overwritten.

Also a REST API for the same operations, and an AI readiness panel inside the block editor.
What leaves your server, and what does not //
When switched on, the URL of a published or updated page is sent to api.indexnow.org, which relays it to Bing, Yandex and Seznam. Only the URL and your key are sent.
Stored in your own database. No cookies. IPs are salted, hashed and truncated; user agents become a bot name; rows expire after 30–365 days, your choice.
No phone-home, no licence server, no analytics about you. The optional beacon posts to your own site. Uninstall removes options, tables, transients and cron events.
Made by Acid Studios. We run it on acidstudios.ro first and on client networks — including a four-site construction group — before shipping it. What it does not do: it does not promise rankings. It makes a site easy to read, easy to cite and honest about what may be reused.
